Our physiotherapists provide personalised and effective hands on care for you and your family.
Fiona Chan was an experienced leading physiotherapist with Integrated Health–Rowville since 2008, and has since developed strong links to the local GP clinics as a provider of caring, professional and excellent physiotherapy services to the local community. In late 2014, the opportunity arose for Fiona to further take the lead to run the practice. Lifeway Physiotherapy was started in May 2015 with a small but dedicated team of physiotherapists.
Hailing from sunny Singapore, Fiona graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore) in 1997 and Masters in Physiotherapy from University of Melbourne in 2001. She attained AECOP final certificate for full registration to practice in Australia in 2005.
Fiona has worked extensively across public and private practices in Singapore, Perth and Melbourne. She has a strong interest in education and management, having done associate teaching to tertiary students and managed outpatients’ practices. Fiona strongly believes in mentoring and coaching in a positive and collaborative culture, inspiring personal and professional growth in her colleagues.
Fiona has worked at Lifeway’s current location since 2008 – previously called Integrated Health. In May 2015, Lifeway Physiotherapy was born, and hopes to continue to provide excellent, effective and caring services to the local and wider community in Rowville and beyond.
Fiona has a strong interest in shoulder and knee conditions, working closely with orthopaedic specialists in the field to achieve the best rehab program for her clients. She has completed dry-needling course for Sports and Spinal injuries, as well as DMA Clinical Pilates Levels 1-4 and incorporates Pilates in her management of clients. She enjoys giving talks to local community clubs and workplaces about moving well and staying active. Fiona is fluent in Mandarin and broken Cantonese.
In her spare time (when she finds some!), Fiona loves catching up with friends over a cuppa, enjoying jazz music and volunteering in the local community.
